This session uses our Victorian building as its inspiration. Children will go on a hunt around the museum looking for hidden treasures in the architecture. Children will then get the chance to get hands on with Victorian domestic items found in the home.
Enquire about SessionThe focus of this session is toys, but with a military twist. Children will explore toys, old and new, and will engage with the interactive story of The Tin Soldier. Inspired by this timeless tale, they will finish the session by decorating a medal. This session can also be adapted to cover elements of the First World War.
Enquire about SessionDiscover the experiences of First World War soldiers who stopped fighting for Christmas. As the firing ceased on the battlefield, the men came together for a game of football. Through role-play and storytelling, this workshop brings this unforgettable moment in history to life.
Enquire about SessionThis interactive session explores how have things changed for soldiers over the last 150 years. The group will become history detectives, examining objects from different periods of the regiment’s history. Your group will get the chance to handle objects from the Victorian period, the First and Second World Wars and compare them to objects used by modern soldiers.
