Win a Canon EOS for your school – new photography competition for KFOR and Kosovo + 25

Get involved with our new photography competition and win a new camara for your school.

We’re launching a new photography competition especially for schools and colleges, and we would love for you to get involved!

To mark the 25th anniversary of the conflict in Kosovo, and the involvement of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers as part of the NATO led peacekeeping force, The Fusilier Museum has collaborated with partners to create a new photographic exhibition – KFOR and Kosovo +25. The photodocumentary includes the work of photojournalist Nick Sidle who captured life in Kosovo, focusing on both the local communities and the British armed forces serving in Kosovo.

Get involved!

We would like budding photographers to get involved and capture life in their own communities. A Canon EOS digital camera is on offer for the school or college of the winning entry from each age category, as well as individual prizes for the winning and highly commended photographers themselves!

There will be two main categories and from the entries we will choose a winning entry and a highly commended entry for each category:

·        High School students studying for their GCSEs

·        Students aged 16-18 at Sixth Form or College

·        We will also be asking our visitors and followers on social media to vote for their favourite photograph from a shortlist of entries.

Each winning and highly commended entry, and the entry voted for by our visitors, will then be displayed at The Fusilier Museum.

How to enter:

·       Contact The Fusilier Museum to book a free self-guided visit for your group to see the KFOR and Kosovo + 25 exhibition. We have a small amount of funding available to pay for coach hire to help with your visit. Should you need this, it will be available on a first come, first served basis and visits to the museum need to take place before Friday 7th March 2025.

·       Following your booking, you will receive background information about the exhibition as well as competition entry details, the theme for the competition and terms and conditions.

·        Send your entries digitally to The Fusilier Museum by Friday 28th March 2025.

To book a free visit, or for more information, contact The Fusilier Museum: learning@fusiliermuseum.com 0161 763 8960.
